Commissioning photography
My name is John H Maw. I am a multi-award winning freelance commercial photographer, located on the borders of Middlesex, Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire and working in the South East of England. My work includes the following:
- architectural photography including exteriors and interiors
- advertising, still life, product photography and pack shots
- transport and haulage photography (particularly lorries and other heavy goods vehicles)
- Landscape and seascape photos (including prints sales)
- PR photography and publicity material
I work both in the studio and on location with an extensive range of photographic lighting. I am a qualified member of the British Institute of Professional Photography (B.I.P.P.), which is the qualifying body for professional photographers in the UK.

Image editing
I undertake most kinds of image editing and photographic enhancement work using Adobe Photoshop and other software. I can do RAW conversions using several RAW converters. Also image restoration of old or damaged photos.
|
Tuition
I offer tuition for both individuals and groups in photography and image editing techniques. I am a qualified teacher and have over 10 years experience. I am happy to provide private or corporate training for individuals and groups. My students often remark that I have a lot of patience. I couldn't possibly comment.

Navigation - a quick word
Just a little word about the navigation on this site. The gallery pages use something called "Lightbox". When you click on a thumbnail most of the window goes almost black and the image opens up in the centre. Navigation buttons appear on the right and left edge of the image if you move your mouse over. However, you may find it easier to use the left and right arrow keys on the keyboard, which do the same thing. To return to the thumbnails you just click outside the image on the black space. I hope you enjoy the images.

PS. This web site has been up for a few months now, and although there are quite a few pictures here it is by no means finished. I will be adding to it over the next few weeks and months and intend to add fresh content as often as possible. I hope you enjoy the content that is here already and that you return soon. Many thanks. John.
